Help!  Help!  I’m being repressed!

Screen Gunk!
So…you’ve pulled your screen protector off and there is gunk all over the screen.  DO NOT PANIC.  Screen protectors are given an especially strong adhesive by design.  A screen cover that is meant to protect your screen can actually cause MORE damage if grit or debris gets between the screen and its cover.  To assure that this does not happen, a high-grade adhesive is administered to screen protector.  When this adhesive is exposed to high temperatures for a prolonged period, it tends to form a better bond with your screen than it does with the inert plastic of the screen protector.  The result is a bit of goop on the ol’ viewer.

To remove the residue, apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol to a clean cotton swab and gently rub the screen until the gunk is gone.  This may take a minute or two, but it works like a charm!  As always, we recommend checking manufacturer’s recommendation on cleaning your device before doing anything!

Tatt Residue
Over time (especially when you remove and re-apply frequently) small amounts of dusty-residue can be left on your device.  NO PROBLEM!  Take a clean, dry micro-fiber cloth and gently wipe the haze away. If you don’t have micro-fiber, try a soft paper towel or toilet tissue.  A small amount of rubbing alcohol will help to remove tough gunk.

There's gunk on my TekTatts!
You see…that’s the funny thing about adhesive.  It sticks to all sorts of stuff!  From time-to-time, during the manufacturing process, a bit of goop finds its way from the back of the ‘tatt to the front.  DRY YOUR TEARS!  Just grab a dry, clean micro-fiber cloth, and wipe it way.  It should clean right up without a problem.  If you don’t have micro-fiber, try a soft paper towel or toilet tissue.  A small amount of rubbing alcohol will help to remove tough gunk.

If you still can’t get your ‘Tatt clean – drop a line support@tektatts.com or send us a picture.  We’ll help you out as best we can!

My ‘tatt ain’t straight!
Try again, friend.  They pull right off.  Just make sure you keep the backs clean so as to not gunk up the clean adhesive and you can pull them off and re-apply them until you get it right!

My screen protector is crooked
Ouch.  Not good.  You see, the thing with the screen protector is that the adhesive is really strong and the protector itself is really clear.  In order to maintain this balance, you only get one shot at apply the screen protector.  If you don’t put it on right the first time, well…you’ll likely have to live with a crooked and clear screen protector or reposition it for a cloudy but straight application.  We’re sorry, but there really is not other way to use an adhesive that keeps all grit out without making it a one-shot application.
